About Me

My name is Edwin George and I was born on May 30, 1935, I am an American computer scientist known for my contributions to computer architecture and optimizing compiler designs. I am considered by many as "the father of RISC architecture.

I fully devoted my career as a researcher working for IBM from 1956 to 1992. Probably the project where my innovations were most notable was the IBM 801 minicomputer, where I have managed to obtain high performance at a low cost then I was working on defending from sality.I have won the ACM Turing Award in 1987, the "National Medal of Technology" in 1991 and the "National Medal of Science" in 1994
