ANNUAL APPEAL 2024
Trackside Families,
In Fred Rogers 1997 Emmy’s Acceptance Speech, Fred Rogers took the stage and thanked everyone who had helped him come to this night. Those near and far and some who’d passed away.
"All of us have special ones who have loved us into being." He shared.
He then asked the audience to take 10 seconds, along with him, to think of the people who had helped them become who they are.
“Whoever you’ve been thinking about, how pleased they must be to know the difference they’ve made.”
Helping someone “into being” is no small thing.
If you’re reading this message today it’s because you’ve helped us into being. I hope you’ll take 10 seconds to take this message in and feel pleased knowing the difference you’ve made for us.
Today we kick off our annual appeal season.
For the next few weeks we invite you to think about your own teenage years as you climb aboard our train and ride along with us.
Buckle up, lean in, and take a close look at who we are and what we have to offer. We’ll be spotlighting in our newsletters and on social media what (and who) make Trackside so special.
We ask that if you feel moved, you express it through any level of financial contribution that feels comfortable for you.
Any gesture of love & support is a big deal to us; it fans the flames of our devotion and helps move our train further down the track.
We feel lucky and honored to do the work we do. And if you know us, then you know that we get giddy and kind of obsessed dreaming up new things to offer our teens and community. (Especially if it involves costumes!)
On behalf of all the lives you're about to touch, we thank you. None of what we do would be possible without you.

Stay tuned in the weeks to come for some special behind-the-scenes moments. And please come inside at drop-off or pickup to feel the experience of Trackside for yourself.
