National History Day is an excellent program that allows middle school and high school students to research a historical topic of their choice and create a multimedia submission about their research. This year’s theme is “Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History.” Students will have the chance to present their research and compete at the Fairfield County History Day Competition, and, if they qualify, the Connecticut State Competition and even the national contest in Washington, D.C.. Led by 2025 Fairfield County and Connecticut first-place winner and National Contest eighth-place winner in the senior paper division.

Trackside’s NHRL Robotics Club will give students the chance to design, build, and compete with their own combat robots.
Led by high school students who compete in robotics themselves, members will work individually or in small groups to create their battle bots using real tools and materials. They’ll learn hands-on skills in engineering, design, and problem-solving as they prepare their robots to face off in competitions inspired by the National Havoc Robot League. This club is best suited for kids who can focus, work well in a team, and are ready for high-energy, hands-on challenges.
