The Trackside robotics club focuses on designing, building and coding a robot that is able to compete in real competitions and scrimmages through VEX Robotics.

Students will learn how to work as a team, in addition to learning the basics of coding, engineering, and designing, as well as learning how to problem solve. This club is a fun introduction to the complexities of robotics!

Robotics club is best suited for kids who can focus & want to learn how to build a robot & prepare for competition. Must be able to use tools safely (with supervision) and work well in a small group, with 2 incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable high school leaders.

D&D is a core offering at Trackside and for good reason.

Come experience the world of heroic fantasy. The core of D&D is storytelling.

You and your friends tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue, and much more. Those who dip their toes in the waters of D&D usually end up a lifelong player.

For beginners, our dungeon masters walk you through the entire experience, once you've got the basics down, you can level up to our more experienced group.

A NEW OFFERING AT TRACKSIDE!

Teens meet at Trackside each Tuesday and walk to town with staff and/or HS LEADER for an enriching business experience.

The goal is to expose our teens to a wide range of local businesses & career opportunities.

Students will meet the founder, hear about their career trajectory, ask questions and engage in an experienecial activity. Perfect for the budding entrepreneur, leader and those interested in learning more about the local community & a variety of potential career paths.

Parental involvement welcomed if you're interested in chaperoning.

NEW OFFERING

Modeled after The Muse Club at Middleschool.
Students will create their own digital magazine comprised of poetry, writing, art, music & more. Open to artists of all kinds, seeking a creative outlet to develop their work and express themselves.

All creative expressions welcome. This is a safe and enriching space to share work, receive guidance and feedback and expand ideas and skills.

The program ends with the completion of a digital magazine showcasing students work, to be shared with parents & community.

In the digital age, computer languages are becoming increasingly important. Our entire lives are designed around computers, making a strong foundation in coding incredibly valuable.

Trackside's Coding Club will introduce members to the world of computer science through JavaScript, the most popular coding language and one of the core building blocks on the Web.

Run by HS Leader, Will Traub, AP computer science student and Center for Global Studies computer science competition coach.

A long-standing signature offering at Trackside, Preplay/Improv allows kids exposure to theater, comedy, acting, & collaborating with others in a way that's fun, low pressure & spontaneous.

Preplay at Trackside is a well-oiled machine, run by our talented high school leaders who are filled with passion, knowledge & experience.

This is an incredible opportunity to learn & practice the art of IMPROV, which has many benefits. There's lots of laughter at Trackside on IMPROV days!

The season usually ends with a performance for the parents.

Join this new club and create your very own graphic novel.

Our two WHS leaderswill guide you through a step by step process to develope your graphic novel.

Each week you will learn new writing & drawing basics and techniques.

Feel free to bring in any drawings or stories that you have previously created.

The Wilton Garden Club and Trackside Teen Center team up annually to offer the Green Teens program, a truly unique and wonderful program for middle school students.

Students will be involved with creating and maintaining vegetable gardens, learning about the importance of healthy foods, and give back to the community as the produce they grow will be donated to the Wilton Food Pantry.

A unique opportunity not typically open to middle school students, our amazing High School leaders will be teaching the basics and beyond.

Members will have the opportunity to engage in various ASL activities that will teach them the basics of the language, including the ABCs, colors, the essentials of basic conversation, descriptions, and more, as well as learning the essentials of deaf culture. Engaging and fun activities and games like "Telephone" and "Prize in the Pot" will connect students through learning and laughter!

This program is best suited for students able to focus, work well in a group or by yourself. No experience needed.

Back by popular demand.

This club is designed to take new and old players in grades 6-8 and give them a place to make friends & learn to play the incredible game of Ultimate Frisbee. Ultimate is a fun and energetic non-contact sport open to players of all skill levels.

Players will learn the basics of the game, new ways of throwing the frisbee and different strategies. Games will be played each week.

Club meets at Trackside & will walk with leaders to Merwin Meadows, using a trail, for games. Pick-up at Trackside.

Come join the Middlebrook Quiz Bowl Club at Trackside! We offer an exciting opportunity for middle schoolers to develop your passion in a group that makes learning fast-paced, thrilling, and rewarding!

Quiz bowl is a fun, dynamic, friendly academic competition involving students collaborating in teams to answer trivia-style buzzer questions against others with a similar passion.

There will be opportunities to compete against other schools across the country! Join a welcoming, tightly-woven community of fellow quiz bowlers.

We object! To kids being bored!

Join our Mock Trial Club, modeled after the WHS Mock Trial. we'll be diving into both criminal and civil cases (depending on the week)and will learn how to tackle the case by either playing an attorney or a witness.

Students will be transformed into attorneys, learning how to make objections, create direct/cross-examinations, create opening and closing statements, and engage with the rules of evidence.

Students will learn how to control a narrative, and work on public speaking skills.

Get ready for an “arresting” experience.
