D&D is a core offering at Trackside and for good reason.

Come experience the world of heroic fantasy. The core of D&D is storytelling.

You and your friends tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue, and much more. Those who dip their toes in the waters of D&D usually end up a lifelong player.

For beginners, our dungeon masters walk you through the entire experience, once you've got the basics down, you can level up to our more experienced group. ( Limit 5 students per group.)

In a world caught up in social and global issues, it is now more crucial than ever to teach future generations how to passionately, yet respectfully, express their opinions to others.

By joining the Middlebrook Debate Team, debaters will learn how to navigate opposing perspectives, critical thinking, and public speaking in order to equip debaters with lifelong skills.

When competing in tournaments, debaters will be able to display their skills, compete for awards, and make friends with fellow debaters all across the state! Novice or open, debaters will work in a supportive and collaborative environment with the shared interest of a variety of things. From current events to extraterrestrial beings, Debaters will learn how to debate it all!

Trackside offers a fun, exploratory afternoon of ASL for our middle schoolers interested in getting together and being coached by our ASL teen leaders!

Together, students will have the opportunity to engage in various ASL activities that will teach them the basics of the language, including the ABCs, colors, the essentials of basic conversation, descriptions, and more, as well as learning the essentials of deaf culture. Engaging and fun activities and games like "Telephone" and "Prize in the Pot" will connect students through learning and laughter!

This is a fun low-key environment to learn something new alongside friends.

This Fall, Trackside Robotics Club will be using Lego Mindstorms kits to teach students designing, engineering, and programming principles.

Led by high school students who participate in competitive robotics, students will choose to either work individually or in small groups to build their robots using lego technic, and later program them with block-coding and python.

Robotics club is best suited for kids who can focus & want to learn how to build a robot & possibility for competition. Must be able to follow direction & work well in a small group.

The Wilton Garden Club and Trackside Teen Center team up annually to offer the Green Teens program for middle & high school students.

The hope is to get more young people involved with creating and maintaining vegetable gardens, to teach youth about the importance of healthy foods, and to give back to the community.

The produce grown is donated to the Wilton Food Pantry and the fresh flowers are cut and arranged for the local Senior Center.

Led by experienced gardeners from the Wilton Garden Club, students participate in hands-on activities of designing garden beds, planting, maintaining, harvesting as well as learning how to cook with the produce grown in their gardens. We will be focusing more on garden related crafts and projects as the garden is slowing down.

Green Teens Youth Garden: This gardening program runs for five weeks.

This club is designed to take new and old players in grades 6-8 and give them a place to make friends & learn to play the incredible game of Ultimate Frisbee. Ultimate is a fun and energetic non-contact sport open to players of all skill levels.

Players will learn the basics of the game, new ways of throwing the frisbee and different strategies. Games will be played each week.

Club meets at Trackside & will walk with leaders to Merwin Meadows, using a trail, for games. Pick-up at Trackside.

We object! To kids being bored!

Join our Mock Trial Club, modeled after the WHS Mock Trial. we'll be diving into both criminal and civil cases (depending on the week)and will learn how to tackle the case by either playing an attorney or a witness.

Students will be transformed into attorneys, learning how to make objections, create direct/cross-examinations, create opening and closing statements, and engage with the rules of evidence.

Students will learn how to control a narrative, and work on public speaking skills.

Get ready for an “arresting” experience.

FALL POP UP VOLLEYBALL CLINIC - SATURDAYS

Our two experienced high school leaders Maryn Priest and Ashley Pencu will guide your teen through the first stages of volleyball and teach them the proper and basic techniques. This program will include warm ups, drills,fun games at Trackside and is open to all skill levels. Beginners are especially encouraged to join. No matter how far along you are in your volleyball career, everyone can learn and have fun this fall during our volleyball program.
