Opportunities with Specific Dates

organization & cleaning - outside

WHO: Open to up to a group of 3-5 MS & HS Students

WHEN: Saturdays in April and May

WHAT: Help Clean-up Trackside's Lawn and Parking Lot to get ready for our Spring Events. Repair Barriers, Clean-up Debris, Light Yardwork (Weeding, Planting, Mulching)

DURATION: Anticipated to take ~ 2-4 Hours depending on the group size

Live Events - Movie Nights

WHO: HS Students and Trackside Board Members

WHEN: Select Fridays in April & May - Specific Dates TBD

WHAT: Help with Trackside's Movie Nights... Set-up and Take-down, Welcoming of Attendees, Assisting with Seating assignments and Monitoring indoor capacity.

DURATION: Full Event - Up to 6 hrs per evening

Live Events - 8th Grade Picnic Staff

WHO: HS Students and Trackside Board Members

WHEN: Friday May 15th, Saturday May 16th

WHAT: This year's 8th graders are not getting the same experiences as prior years due to the pandemic. We are looking for your help make the 8th Grade Year End Picnics a memorable success.. because it's a lot better to hang and play games with HS kids than a bunch of adults!

You will run activites and games like card tables, corn hole, jackbox games, pictionary air, charades and other fun activities.

DURATION: Full Events - Up to 6 hrs per evening

summer camp

WHO: HS and College Students

WHEN: Late June & July

WHAT: Volunteer as a Counselor or Assistant during Trackside's Summer Camp. Help with our Programs or suggest one of your own to lead for Rising 6th-10th graders!

DURATION: Commit to at least 1 Week.
Monday - Friday 7:30am - 12pm (Exact hours may vary
depending on camp)

Limited opportunities are also be available as paid positions, especially for current and rising college students.

Fall Program Leaders

WHO: HS Students

WHEN: Fall 2021

WHAT: Do you have an idea for a program or special event you think your peers or MS students would love? We would love to work with you to help you bring it to life! Our best programs have come from your ideas and your leadership!

DURATION: 1 Day a Week for for 2 hours during the 8-10 Week Fall Program Session. Expected to Start 1 week after the start of School.

Can lead to a paid position and/or future volunteer opportunities for hard workers and successful programs.


Ongoing Opportunities

WHEN: Anytime; Email us to arrange time to meet

WHAT: Our social media presence needs a Teen's Touch! Help us make a plan, make it easy for us to keep updated and make our Social Media more relevant to you!

DURATION: Anticipated to take between 3-5 Hours (More or less depending on scope)

OFFICE - ORGANIZE ONLINE files

WHO: Open to up to 3 HS Students

WHEN: Anytime; Email us to arrange time to meet

WHAT: Help Organized files in Google Drive to create and update folders for Trackside's Current and Historical Files.

DURATION: Anticipated to take between 4-5 Hours (More or less depending on scope)

OFFICE HELP - Mailing List

WHO: Open to up to 1 HS Student

WHEN: Anytime; Email us to arrange time to meet

WHAT: Update Trackside's Mailing LIst from information stored in other online locations

DURATION: Anticipated to take ~ 2 Hours

organization & cleaning - attic

WHO: Open to up to a group of 2-4 HS Students

WHEN: Evenings or Weekends. Exact Dates will depend on Trackside & Volunteer availability

WHAT: Trackside's Attic needs an overhaul! Reorganize Boxes and Program Materials for easy identification and retrieval!

DURATION: Anticipated to take ~ 2-4 Hours depending on the group size

fundraising support - contact list

WHO: Open to 1-5 HS Students

WHEN: Anytime

WHAT: Trackside holds many Fundraising Events throughout the year and relies on sponsorships from local businesses for support. We would love to create a database/contact list for local businesses for easy reference

DURATION: Database Creation and Inclusion of Historical Info ~ 2-3
hours
Contact and build out Lists with local Business Contacts - ~10+ hours (Can be split up amongst many volunteers and timeframes!
