Smiles, Laughter, Friends and New, In-Person Experiences. These are at the very heart of what Trackside looks and sounds like every day. With your support, Trackside has been a cornerstone of safety, healthy socialization, and fun for Middle School and High School students across the Wilton community.
When the pandemic hit, many organizations like Trackside were forced to shutter their doors. As a result, Trackside adapted, transformed, and has continued to be here to support our community. In response, you, along with your friends and neighbors, came together to support Trackside in near record-setting numbers. We cannot thank you enough! Over the past year, we have provided over 300 Teens, their friends, and families a safe place to explore their interests and be together in person. We cannot be more excited for the new and returning teens who bring their energy and excitement to Trackside each day!
This past year at Trackside has also been a transformative one. Perhaps the most fantastic and exciting change has been the addition of so many High School students to our team as staff, volunteer leaders, and program participants. Trackside’s enhanced “For Teens by Teens” offers our High School Teens the opportunity to design programs, mentor their younger peers and gain opportunities to experience their first jobs with responsibility and agency.
Trackside also implemented a new Membership Program, offering an expanding set of clubs, programs, and events that have diversified the Teens who find Trackside to be THEIR PLACE. Our programs draw in Teens of many interests, from artists, bakers, hikers, and athletes to gardeners, mountain bikers, game lovers, budding comedians and so much more. Trackside’s members also have the opportunity to enjoy a range of exclusive Member’s Only events such as Movie Nights and our extremely popular “Among Us” live events.
As we look ahead, Trackside’s financial future will continue to be tested. We have faced fundraising challenges brought on by the pandemic and soon will face another unexpected challenge as the Genesis Program plans to move the school to a new location. This move will significantly impact the funding needed to sustain the facility and programs at Trackside going forward. We believe that you and the Wilton community will again rally to support the Teenagers who rely on Trackside as their safe place to be together. We are lucky to be part of such a loving and supportive community. We strive to continue strengthening ourselves and how we serve you even more… not only as a Teen Center but also as a place where our whole community comes together during our many special events, and private parties.
In closing, we continue to believe that simple missions are the most powerful. Ours is to continue being a place where Teens can come to have fun, be with friends, and feel good about themselves. As our youth and our community continue to navigate unprecedented and challenging times, this need and your support are critical!
A gift from you today, will help immensely.
