Live a great story. It’s not just a banner that hangs on the wall at Trackside. It's the story that lies at the center of Trackside's mission and fuels the devotion we have to providing our kids a safe and supportive place: to feel like a kid, to escape from "everyday life," to socialize and have fun.
With a commitment to being a place “For Teens, by Teens” we care very much about offering our teens the types of experiences that help them develop a strong and positive sense of themselves. Now, more than even, in the Wilton community, our kids need this. Now, more than ever, we need your support. Our great story lies in our ability to help those who come to us strengthen their own. It would be easy to share with you all the significant challenges that Trackside has faced this past year: from budget cuts to the cancellation of events due to COVID, implementing many new safety protocols, and operating with limited staff, but we don't want to do that, that’s not the story we want to tell. We believe the way out of a challenge is to focus, not on the hardship, but on the greater story we are devoted and determined to support and share. This past year, we have had the actively supported over 500 teens from across our community, whether they have been here to lead a club, join in a program, attend movie night, volunteer to help spread wood chips or enjoy carefree days during summer camp. We feel lucky to be part of such a loving and supportive community. We see this time as an opportunity to strengthen ourselves and how we serve you, even more. As our community continues to come together to persevere and recover from the unexpected heartbreak our community is facing, our programs and services at Trackside remain an important and much needed means of support for our youth. In the end, we believe that the simple missions are the most powerful. Ours is to continue being a place where your kids can come to have fun, be with friends and feel good about themselves. Now more than ever, this is critical. This is how Wilton as a community continues to shine bright. We know that the hardships we are all facing will not be forever. We hope that looking back on this time we can tell the story of how your generous contribution and loving support allowed us to tell an even greater story than before. A gift from you today, will help us immensely.
